BUZZ-Kinder Morgan Canada sinks after halting pipeline work

** Pipeline operator’s shares plunge 19 pct to $14.93, their lowest since spinoff from Kinder Morgan in May 2017

** Suspends work on C$7.4 billion ($5.8 billion) expansion of its Trans Mountain oil pipeline after continued opposition from British Columbia province

** Threatens to scrap plans to triple capacity of the pipeline if various legal issues not solved by May 31

** Says suspension not to hit dividend payouts

** Rivals TranCanada up 0.6 pct, Enbridge up 0.8 pct
