A slide in Apple and Amazon led the S&P 500 and Nasdaq indexes lower on Monday
on expectations that President Donald Trump was about to go ahead with new
tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese goods and that Beijing would retaliate.
    At 12:59 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.08 percent
at 26,133.88. The S&P 500 was down 0.27 percent at 2,897.23 and the
Nasdaq Composite was down 0.83 percent at 7,943.419.
