CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as oil prices jump

(Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index rose on Tuesday, as a jump in oil prices lifted energy shares, while gains in material and financial companies also supported the market.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 38.87 points, or 0.24 percent, at 16,145.11. (Reporting by Sruthi Shankar in Bengaluru; Editing by Arun Koyyur)
