** MARKET OPENS DOWN ON ‘FISCAL CLIFF’ CAUTION

U.S. stocks opened slightly lower as worry over the threat to the economy posed by the “fiscal cliff” offset optimism from a deal to ease Greece’s debt burden. The Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.25 percent, the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index was down 0.18 percent and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell 0.14 percent.

** ACADIA PHARMACEUTICALS INC, $2.30, up 160 pct (0931 ET)

The biopharmaceutical company said its antipsychotic drug for Parkinson’s disease patients succeeded in meeting the primary goal and key secondary goals of a pivotal late stage clinical trial.

** CONAGRA FOODS Inc, $28.29, up 4 pct (0931 ET)

** RALCORP HOLDINGS INC, Monday close $70.23, up 26 pct (0931 ET)

Long-time suitor ConAgra Foods Inc finally sealed a deal to buy Ralcorp Holdings for $5 billion to become the biggest private label food company in North America.

** CORNING INC, $11.35, up 7 pct (0931 ET)

The specialty glass maker said it expects full-year sales of its Gorilla glass, used in smartphones and tablets, to approach $1 billion.

** MCMORAN EXPLORATION CO, $7.37, down 23 pct, (0940 ET)

The oil and gas explorer said on Monday that it could not achieve a measurable flow test at its key Davy Jones No. 1 well in the Gulf of Mexico. The company did not give a new date for the test, which has now been delayed for more than a year due to technical problems.

** IMMERSION CORP, $5.85, up 25 pct (0945 ET)

The touch feedback technology provider said it reached a licensing agreement with Google Inc and Motorola Mobility LLC, ending its ongoing patent infringement lawsuit against Motorola.

** NEPTUNE TECHNOLOGIES & BIORESSOURCES INC, $3.31, down 24 pct (0950 ET)

The biotechnology company, whose only production plant was recently gutted in a fire, said it will temporarily slash 70 jobs and implement salary cuts to cut costs.

** THOR INDUSTRIES INC, $39.12, down 10 pct (1011 ET)

The recreational vehicle and bus maker reported first-quarter earnings below market expectations as the company’s profit was hurt by discounts implemented to counter a rise in competition in the RV and bus markets.

** CROCS INC, $12.75, up 6 pct (0931 ET)

Goldman Sachs initiated coverage of the shoemaker with a “buy” rating and price target of $17, according to StreetInsider.com.

** LAS VEGAS SANDS CORP, $45.61, up 4 pct (0937)

The casino company’s board approved a special dividend of $2.75 per share on Monday.

** AMARIN CORPORATION PLC, $11.95, up 5 pct (0956 ET)

The drugmaker said the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued a tenth patent to its heart drug Vasecpa, which has a term that expires no earlier than in 2030.

** ADT CORP, $43.1, up 3 pct (0952 ET)

The home security services provider said price increases helped lift sales and earnings in its initial quarter as an independent company.

** CELSION CORP, $7.80, up 3 pct (1004 ET)

An investment website said the drug development company’s stock could rise if results from a key study of its ThermoDox liver cancer treatment are positive. Celsion is expected to release data of the Phase III study in January.

** NEXSTAR BROADCASTING GROUP INC, $10.21 down 7 pct (0950 ET)

The television station operator reported a secondary offering of 8 million shares on Monday. [ID: nBw33pXjWa]

** FACEBOOK INC, $25.94, up 0.9 pct (0952 ET)

** ZYNGA INC, $2.40, up 2 pct (0953 ET)

Nomura Equity Research raised its price target on the social media company’s stock to $32 from $27, citing faster-than-expected mobile advertisement growth in the third-quarter.

** DOLLAR GENERAL CORP, $51.11, up 2 pct (0953 ET)

The discount retailer will join the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Nov. 30, and will replace Cooper Industries Plc , acquired by U.S. industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp .

Citi Investment Research analyst Deborah Weinswig said once added to the S&P 500, passive indexers will need to buy 29.2 million shares, which would drive about 6 percent increase in the stock price.

** GENERAC HOLDINGS INC, $33.44, up 4 pct (1010 ET)

The generator maker said late on Monday that it was withdrawing a secondary offering of its shares “due to market conditions”.

Shares of Generac had fallen 7 percent during business hours on Monday after it reported the offering of 11.5 million shares.

** CHINA SUNERGY CO LTD, $1.16, down 2 pct (1012 ET) The solar cell and module maker reported a quarterly loss, its sixth in a row, as panel prices remained low due to oversupply.

** HEWLETT-PACKARD, $12.58, down 1 pct (1012 ET)

The world’s largest PC maker was sued on Monday by an investor who claimed the company knew statements about its Autonomy acquisition were misleading and led the stock to fall, according to lawyers representing the plaintiff. (Compiled by Maria Ajit Thomas in Bangalore)
