U.S. stock index e-mini futures fell on Monday: Dow Jones industrial average futures were down 0.14 percent at 17,286, S&P 500 futures were down 0.10 percent at 2,009.5 and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 0.09 percent at 4,146.75.

** SAPIENT CORP, Friday close $17.32, +41.11 pct premarket

Publicis, the world’s third-largest advertising agency, has agreed to buy the digital ad specialist for $3.7 billion in cash as it seeks to accelerate growth after a botched merger earlier this year.

** COVANCE INC, Friday close $79.9, +25.16 pct premarket


Laboratory Corp, a provider of healthcare diagnostic services, said it would buy contract research company Covance for about $6.1 billion in cash and stock.

** PROCTER & GAMBLE CO, Friday close $87.27

Argentina has accused the world’s No. 1 household products maker of tax fraud and said it suspended its operations in the South American country, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the country’s AFIP tax authority.

** APPLE INC, Friday close $108, -0.11 pct premarket

The i-phone maker is planning an investor call on Monday ahead of a potential bond sale, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing a banker working on the deal.


U.S. authorities have opened a criminal probe in the wake of the REIT’s disclosure that it had uncovered accounting errors, two sources familiar with the matter said on Friday.


Shares of Kimberly-Clark Corp’s healthcare division are expected to start trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday. Halyard began to see a surge in demand for its protective medical devices in the wake of the Ebola scare.

** RYANAIR HOLDINGS PLC, Friday close $55.54, +8.57 pct premarket

The Irish carrier raised its annual profit forecast almost 20 percent on Monday thanks to a surge in winter bookings and said it would cut fares by up to 10 percent in the new year to take more market share from struggling airline rivals.

** LOEWS CORP, Friday close $43.6

The hotel, energy and financial services conglomerate reported a 26 percent drop in quarterly profit, partly due to lower investment income.

** BOSTON SCIENTIFIC CORP, Friday close $13.28

The company is set to face its first federal trials in two courts over claims from women who say they were injured by the company’s transvaginal mesh devices.

** CBS CORP, Friday close $54.22

** DISH NETWORK CORP, Friday close $63.65

The satellite providers are far apart on talks for a new distribution deal, according to a person with knowledge of the negotiations, setting up the possibility that subscribers of the companies could lose access to the most-watched U.S. TV network next month.

** SPRINT CORP, Friday close $5.93

The third-largest wireless carrier in the United States is expected to post a loss of 177,000 postpaid subscribers on Monday, as the company continues a network overhaul that has caused gaps in overage.

** METLIFE INC, Friday close $54.24

The largest U.S. insurer will make a final plea on Monday to a group of U.S. regulators determined to subject it to tougher oversight as they probe which firms could pose a risk to the larger financial system.

** AGRIUM INC, Friday close $97.82

The Canadian fertilizer producer and retailer of farm products is scheduled to report third-quarter results on Monday. The company warned in October that earnings per share from continuing operations would be lower than Street estimates, but the reason was not clear.
