The company says response to merchandise offering fell short of expectations in Q2, requiring company to become more promotional than planned to clear slow-moving inventory ahead of the back-to-school selling season.

The LED lighting product maker says underwritten follow-on offering of shares by the company and certain stockholders was priced at $17.00 per share, a discount of 26.1 pct to Thursday’s close of $23.00.

Avon, which sells cosmetics door-to-door, is in talks with private equity firms about an investment through a stake sale in the struggling company, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

Marvell says conducting investigation into recognition of certain revenues in Q2. The company cites softening demand for certain products, particularly for HDD storage products due to slowing demand for PCs.
