BUZZ-U.S. STOCKS ON THE MOVE-Harley-Davidson, Netflix, Randolph

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.10 percent at 17,948.55, the S&P 500 was up 0.14 percent at 2,101.82 and the Nasdaq Composite was up 0.32 percent at 4,858.094.

** MICRON TECHNOLOGY INC, $12.41, -9.81 pct

The memory-chip maker said it would lower costs, including by cutting jobs and focusing on fewer programs, after its hopes of reversing its fortunes this year were thwarted by a persistently challenging market.

** HARLEY-DAVIDSON INC, $50.69, +11.90 pct

Shares of the company soared on unsubstantiated deal chatter. The motorcycle maker did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

** NETFLIX INC, $96.06, +5.01 pct

Canaccord Genuity started the video streaming company’s stock rating with “buy” and $120 PT and said there is a long runway for international subscription growth in the fourth quarter and beyond.

** AETERNA ZENTARIS INC, $3.68, +12.88 pct

The drug developer said it signed a license agreement with Orient EuroPharma’s unit for commercializing its lead experimental anti-cancer drug, Zoptrex, in Taiwan and nine countries in Southeast Asia.

** RANDOLPH BANCORP INC, $12.21, +22.10 pct

The bank’s shares jumped in market debut. The stock opened at $12.16 per share, 21.6 percent above IPO price of $10 per share.

** ACCELERATE DIAGNOSTICS INC, $15.81, +9.87 pct

The diagnostics company’s director Jack Schuler bought 90,147 shares of its common stock on June 29 and 30.

** TESLA MOTORS INC, $213.5626, +0.60 pct

** MOBILEYE NV, $46.71, +1.24 pct

** INTEL CORP, $32.79, -0.03 pct

At least one analyst said that initial reaction to the first fatality involving Tesla Model S car’s Autopilot system was based more on perception than reality.

Collision detection specialist Mobileye is expected to be part of an alliance with BMW and Intel to develop self-driving cars.

** VALEANT PHARMACEUTICALS INTERNATIONAL INC, $20.8, +3.28 pct

AstraZeneca Plc terminated its licensing deal with the Canadian drugmaker on its experimental psoriasis drug, brodalumab, and sold the rights to that drug in Europe to LEO Pharma.

** WILLIAMS COS INC, $20.36, -5.87 pct

** ENERGY TRANSFER EQUITY LP, $13.57, -5.57 pct

Pipeline operator Williams Cos appointed Kathleen Cooper its chairman, replacing Frank MacInnis, two days after Energy Transfer Equity scrapped an over $20 billion deal to buy the company. ok

** GOLAR LNG LTD, $16.65, +7.42 pct

DNB Markets upgraded the natural gas shipping company’s stock to “buy” from “hold”, according to thefly.com.

** BARRICK GOLD CORP, $22, +3.04 pct

** NEWMONT MINING CORP, $40.04, +2.35 pct

** KINROSS GOLD CORP, $5.27, +7.77 pct

** FIRST MAJESTIC SILVER CORP, $14.43, +6.26 pct

** SILVER WHEATON CORP, $24.78, +5.31 pct

Gold and silver miners’ U.S.-listed shares were up after precious metal prices rose. Gold prices rose more than 1 percent, heading for fifth weekly gain, due to weak dollar and prospects of further monetary policy easing in the wake of Brexit vote.
