The S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial average touched three-month lows on Thursday, dragged down by weak Chinese economic data and the prospects of a U.S. interest rate hike by the end of the year.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.18 percent at 18,111.91, the S&P 500 was down 0.19 percent at 2,135.08 and the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.38 percent at 5,219.081.
