** Shares of pipeline operators rise on hopes Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. Presidential elections will improve prospects of many contentious pipeline proposals

** Trump has already said he would approve TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline proposal if elected; President Barack Obama rejected the proposal last November

** Toronto-listed shares of Transcanada Corp rise 1.2 pct at C$58.97; U.S. shares up marginally

** Energy Transfer Partners LP’s shares up 10.72 pct at $36.95 after the company said on Tuesday it wouldn’t slow down construction of Dakota Access Pipeline

** Pipeline operators: Plains All American Pipeline LP up 1.6 pct, Kinder Morgan Inc 2 pct
