** U.S.-listed shares of gold producers drop, tracking the fall in price of the yellow metal

** A U.S.-Mexico deal on Friday to avert a tariff war spurred risk appetite, prompting the safe-haven metal to be ditched and reducing the allure of gold-oriented stocks

** Spot gold trades around 0.9% lower, set for its worst one-day showing since April 16

** Gold fell after hitting its highest level since April 2018 in the previous session

** U.S.-listed shares of Barrick Gold Corp down 1.8%, Iamgold Corp 2.9% lower, while Eldorado Gold Corp falls 3.1%
