July 2 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, as shares of precious metal miners gained on higher gold prices.
* At 9:32 a.m. ET (13:32 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index was up 51.9 points, or 0.32%, at 16,434.1.
