CALGARY, Alberta (Reuters) - Alberta’s Minister of Finance Joe Ceci introduced a bill increasing progressive tax rates for higher income earners in the Canadian oil-producing province on Thursday, under which those earning more than C$300,000 a year would pay 15 percent.

If passed, the bill will also increase corporate taxes to 12 percent from 10 percent, but keep Alberta’s small business rate unchanged at 3 percent.
