Canada can adapt policies to fight slowdown: Harper

OTTAWA (Reuters) - Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Thursday his government would adapt its economic policies to fend off the effects of a global financial crisis.

He reiterated that Canada remains on track for a budget surplus this year but added that there was growing uncertainty beyond that.
