Canada's Globe and Mail plans job cuts: union

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canada’s Globe and Mail national daily newspaper has notified a union representing many of its employees that it is planning unspecified job reductions, a union spokesman said on Friday.

Peter Murdoch, media vice-president at the Communications, Energy & Paperworkers Union of Canada, said no details were immediately available about the scope of the planned staff cuts.
