Flaherty says recovery still fragile

CALGARY, Alberta (Reuters) - Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said on Monday that the economic recovery remains fragile but that there were positive signs including some recent strong data.

“The recovery is still fragile. We’ve had some good signs in Canada, housing starts this morning,” he told reporters.

“I‘m amazed in fact how positive some people are. How soon they forget where we were.”
