Flaherty says concerned about Europe

MONTREAL (Reuters) - Canada is concerned about the “continuing economic uncertainty” in Europe, Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty said on Monday, adding some countries there are under pressure from the markets.

“There are certain countries in Europe in particular that are carrying too much debt and the markets are pointing that out to them,” he said at a conference here. “They can either deal with it themselves or the market will force them to deal with it, which is much less planned and much less pleasant.”
