The British music industry’s big night of the year on Wednesday gave stars a fillip across the board with Mark Ronson, Kylie Minogue and Take That all enjoying much improved sales.

Gennaro Castaldo from retailers HMV said: “The impact of the BRITs on artist profiles and album sales is becoming more pronounced each year.”
