Marion Cotillard wins acting Golden Globe

BEVERLY HILLS, California (Reuters) - French actress Marion Cotillard won the Golden Globe Award on Sunday as best actress in a movie musical for her role as legendary singer Edith Piaf in the subtitled biopic “La Vie En Rose.”

The Golden Globes, announced in a press conference format this year after the screenwriters strike forced cancellation of the usual ceremony, are considered a key stop on the road to the film industry’s highest honors, the Academy Awards.
