"60 Minutes" airing McCain, Obama interviews

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - “60 Minutes” will kick off its 40th anniversary on Sunday with interviews with presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama.

It will be a back-to-the-future moment for the show, which will also begin its first high-definition season. The first episode of “60 Minutes” on September 24, 1968, featured interviews with presidential candidates Richard Nixon and Hubert Humphrey.

Steve Kroft will interview Obama and Scott Pelley will speak to McCain.
