"Magi-Nation" spawns online game

TORONTO (Hollywood Reporter) - Canadian cartoon producer Cookie Jar Entertainment said Wednesday that an online multiplayer game spun off from its kids’ TV series “Magi-Nation” will be carried by the WildTangent game portal.

Toronto-based Cookie Jar said the online adventure game, “Magi-Nation: Battle for the Moonlands,” will be made available to WildTangent’s 30 million monthly users as part of a distribution agreement.

Cookie Jar and Korea’s Daewon initially adapted the “Magi-Nation” trading game into a cartoon series that airs in Canada on the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and in the U.S. on CW4Kids.
