- Sources say actor Heath Ledger was known to use cocaine, and that his behavior ultimately destroyed his relationship with Michelle Williams. “Heath’s drug use was something that affected them profoundly,” says a source close to the actress. “Michelle didn’t want their daughter around that” - PEOPLE

- In March 2006 when the couple’s daughter, Matilda, was only five months old, Williams drove Ledger to Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, California, according to a confidant but Ledger refused to check in. Even after the couple split in September 2007, the actress demanded that Ledger be drug tested before his visitations with Matilda - US

- Ledger had started casually dating Mary-Kate Olsen but it wasn’t a healthy relationship. “To put it bluntly, both of them had a mutual interest in partying,” an insider says. The actress was the first person Ledger’s masseuse contacted when she found his body - IN TOUCH

- Ledger struggled with depression all his life, an insider says. “I think that’s what led him to the drugs in the first place,” the insider says - LIFE AND STYLE


- Lynne Spears flew to Los Angeles earlier this week and was shocked to see how badly her daughter Britney’s mental condition had deteriorated, a source close to the pop singer says. “She hadn’t seen her in a while and to see her deteriorated to this level — what mother wouldn’t be affected by that? It’s awful” US

- Nearly four months after Lindsay Lohan completed rehab the actress is back on the drinking scene. Lohan was spotted sipping vodka at Manhattan’s Beatrice Inn with three pals, according to an onlooker. Another pal is worried about Lohan being back on the scene. “They need to send her back to rehab,” says the source- PEOPLE

- “The Color Purple,” the musical co-produced by television personality Oprah Winfrey, will close on Broadway on Feb 24. The show earned 11 Tony nominations, including Best Musical. It won the Best Actress in a Musical Tony for star LaChanze, and marked the Broadway debut of “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino - IN TOUCH

- Julie Christie, who is nominated for another Best Actress award this year for her portrayal of an Alzheimer’s patient in the drama “Away From Her,” has wed journalist Duncan Campbell. The Academy Award winner and Campbell have been together for 28 years - US

- Actor Mark Harmon has purchased the Villa Vista Oceano estate in Malibu, California. The 19-acre property includes a house with five bedrooms, guest cottage, gym, pool and vineyard



- “I’m probably the only person in the world who can call John Travolta my mom” - Actress Nikki Blonsky on her male co-star in the film “Hairspray,” in which the actor appeared in drag to play her mother, LIFE AND STYLE
