Wrestling star Trish Stratus in movie lead

TORONTO (Hollywood Reporter) - Former TV wrestler Trish Stratus is making her movie acting debut.

The Ontario native is starring in “Bail Enforcers,” an indie action film about a team of bounty hunters; it will be shot in and around Toronto by director Patrick McBrearty.

The seven-time WWE women’s champion will give the occasional smackdown to bad guys in fight sequences and car chases.

Stratus, 34, made occasional appearances on Canadian TV shows like “Royal Canadian Air Farce” before retiring from professional wrestling in 2006. She recently co-produced “Stratusphere,” a travel doc series on the travel+escape network and Discovery HD.
