LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - AT&T U-Verse has threatened to pull the AMC network that airs Emmy-award winning drama "Mad Men" off the air just before the July 25 debut of its fourth season, as the cable provider continues to dispute carriage fees demanded by the network.
AMC, along with channels WE tv and IFC, could be axed for AT&T U-Verse subscribers, AMC's parent Rainbow Media, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corp and Walt Disney Co's ABC over payment for each subscriber. And Time Warner Cable and News Corp had a similar disagreement over subscriber fees.
