"House on the Left" director eyes "Demonologists"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Dennis Iliadis, who directed last year’s remake of “The House on the Left,” is in negotiations to direct “The Demonologists,” a horror movie set up at producer Joel Silver’s Dark Castle label.

The story revolves around a mild-mannered family of ghost hunters who find themselves out of their league when they encounter a demon.

It hails from Teddy Tenenbaum, a writer for TV’s “The Dead Zone” and more recently “The Ghost Whisperer.” The project has been in and out of development for more than a decade, first as a feature, then as an NBC pilot, and now as a feature again.

Iliadis has been attached to several horror movies including a remake of “The Birds.”
