OTTAWA (Reuters) - The Canadian government is deeply concerned by the crashing price of oil - one of the country’s major exports - and is monitoring the situation, Natural Resources Minister Seamus O’Regan said on Monday.

“This is of great concern,” he told reporters, saying Ottawa would work closely with the energy-producing province of Alberta. “Right now we are just keeping an eye on how this day is playing out.”
