LONDON (Reuters Life!) - An illegal immigrant has been found inside Sandhurst, Britain’s elite officer training academy attended by Princes William and Harry.

The man, from Afghanistan, had sneaked aboard a military coach traveling to Britain from Germany.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the stowaway was found in a stairwell of the coach on Wednesday morning and handed over to police.

“We can confirm that an individual was discovered on a coach within the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, having stowed on board during the coach’s transit from Germany,” an MoD spokeswoman said on Thursday.

“The coach was provided and driven by a civilian contractor who has responsibility for the security of their vehicle,” she added.

The Sun newspaper said the head of the British Army, General Sir Richard Dannatt, was “incandescent” at the incident.

The MoD spokeswoman confirmed he had been angered by reports of the security breach at the academy in Berkshire, southern England but said the incident had not been serious.
