LONDON (Reuters Life!) - The funeral of reality TV star Jade Goody will take place on April 4 at a church near her home in Essex.
A funeral procession for Goody, who died last Sunday aged 27 after losing her battle against cancer, will leave her home in Upshire at 1200 GMT, ahead of a service at St John’s Baptist Church in Buckhurst Hill.
Media reports, citing family sources, said she would then be buried at Epping Forest Burial Park in North Weald.
Thousands are expected to line the route of the funeral, which will see a cortege of 21 cars drive through the Essex town of Loughton.
Television screens will be placed outside the church to relay the service to mourners, newspapers reported.
Goody’s publicist Max Clifford confirmed the date of the funeral, but said details of the funeral arrangements had still to be finalized.
