”Teams are increasingly spread across offices, geographies, and time zones. Building a bonded team when work is done virtually can be a challenge. Here are three ways you can help virtual workers feel more connected:
1. Meet face-to-face at least once. Allowing team members to bond at the beginning of their work together will give them something to return to when they are feeling far away.
2. Talk often. Frequent contact is key to maintaining a sense of connectedness.
3. Use different types of media. There are numerous technologies that can help connect your virtual team. Use a variety of them - instant message, video conference, phone calls - so that people can interact in a style most comfortable to them.”
