SHANGHAI, Oct 13 (Reuters) - General Motors Co [GM.UL] Chief Exective Fritz Henderson said on Tuesday it was possible that a deal on the sale of a majority stake in Opel, its European carmaking arm, could come this week.

The comments follow a statement by an Opel labour leader on Monday that GM was on track to sign a contract to sell a majority stake in Opel to a consortium including Canada’s Magna MGa.TO and Russia’s Sberbank SBER03.MM. [ID:nLC288179]
