Aug 11 (Reuters) - Canada’s Arctic Glacier Income Fund AG_u.TO, a producer of packaged ice, said quarterly profit fell as cool temperatures and excessive rainfall in many of its markets hurt sales.
For the second quarter, the company reported net income of $6.5 million, or 17 cents a share, compared with $7.8 million, or 20 cents a share, a year ago.
Excluding costs tied to an antitrust investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice and related expenses, the company earned $7.2 million, or 18 cents a share.
Sales fell 8 percent to $70.4 million.
Units of the company closed at C$1.81 Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Ashutosh Joshi in Bangalore; Editing by Ratul Ray Chaudhuri)
