Sept 11 (Reuters) - Canada’s Bridgewater Systems BWC.TO said it has received additional orders worth $18.8 million from Verizon Wireless (VZ.N) for its WideSpan 5000 system that helps telecom companies manage mobile transactions.
Revenue from the orders is not expected in 2009, Bridgewater said in a statement.
WideSpan 5000 system helps telecom companies with subscriber data management and service control required to manage the rapid growth in mobile data services.
Shares of the company were up 15 Canadian cents at C$6.80 Friday afternoon on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Ashutosh Joshi in Bangalore; Editing by Unnikrishnan Nair)
