Aug 6 (Reuters) - Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc ANP.TO ANPI.O reported a narrower second-quarter loss on Thursday, helped by lower research costs.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company posted a net loss of $11.9 million, or 14 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $26.1 million, or 31 cents a share, a year-ago.
Excluding items, the company posted a net loss of 2 cents a share.
Revenue for the company, which makes coating for Boston Scientific Corp’s (BSX.N) stents, fell 15 percent to $64.6 million.
