* Says offering increased to 3.35 mln units
* Sees gross proceeds of C$61.45 mln
Aug 20 (Reuters) - Canada's Dundee REIT (D_u.TO) raised the size of its public offering of Series A units by 22 percent to 3.35 million, citing strong investor demand, and said it now sees gross proceeds of $61.5 million ($56.22 million).
On Wednesday, the company said it had agreed to sell 2.75 million units at C$18.35 apiece for gross proceeds of about C$50.5 million.
Dundee REIT said a syndicate of investment dealers led by TD Securities Inc will underwrite the offering, which is scheduled to close on or about Sept. 9.
The trust said it granted the syndicate an over-allotment option to purchase up to an additional 502,500 units which, if exercised, would increase the gross offering size to C$70.7 million.
Dundee REIT units, which had gained 24 percent over the past one month, were down 2 percent at C$18.78 Thursday morning on the Toronto Stock Exchange. ($1=1.094 Canadian Dollar) (Reporting by Krishna Chaithanya in Bangalore; Editing by Deepak Kannan)
