Oct 27 (Reuters) - DragonWave Inc DWI.TO DRWI.O, a supplier of packet microwave radio systems for IP networks, said it recently experienced strong order intake, leading to a 60 percent surge in its order backlog since the end of fiscal second quarter.
These new orders have been received over the last week from DragonWave’s customers in the United States, Canada and EMEA regions, the company said in a statement.
DragonWave’s carrier-grade point-to-point packet microwave systems transmit broadband voice, video and data.
Shares of DragonWave were down 3 percent at C$8.40 in morning trade Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by R. Manikandan in Bangalore; Editing by Gopakumar Warrier)
