Feb 22 (Reuters) - Feb 22 (Reuters) - Canadian waste management company IESI-BFC Ltd's fourth-quarter profit more than doubled, helped by the acquisition of Waste Services Inc.

North America's third-biggest solid waste management company forecast 2011 adjusted earnings of $1.16 a share, on revenue of about $1.8 billion.

Analysts on average were expecting the company to earn $1.11 a share, on revenue of $1.79 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

October-December profit was $21.7 million, or 18 cents a share, compared with $9.9 million, or 11 cents a share, last year.

The company posted an adjusted profit of 22 cents a share, in line with analysts' expectations.

Revenue rose 64 percent to $429.9 million.

IESI-BFC completed the acquisition of Waste Services in July 2010 and in addition to this the company also bought waste collection, transfer and landfill assets in December.

Toronto-based IESI-BFC's shares closed at C$23.81 on Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Aftab Ahmed in Bangalore; Editing by Maju Samuel)
