Feb 24 (Reuters) - Canadian label and package maker CCL Industries Inc posted a fourth-quarter profit, driven by strength at its tube and container units.
Net profit was C$14.5 million, or 43 Canadian cents per Class B share, compared to a net loss of C$0.1 million, last year.
Restructuring and other items had a nominal impact on fourth-quarter earnings, compared to a net loss of C$5.2 million in 2009, the company said.
Sales for the company — that provides packaging solutions to home and personal care, healthcare, and premium food and beverage markets — fell 3 percent to $281.3 million.
The company said economic recovery in North America and Europe gave its global consumer product customers confidence to increase marketing activity. (Reporting by Bhaswati Mukhopadhyay in Bangalore;Editing by Vyas Mohan)
