March 8 (Reuters) - Canada’s Rocky Mountain Dealerships Inc , a construction and agriculture equipment broker, posted quarterly earnings that beat estimates, buoyed by a surge in new equipment sales.
For October-December, net income was C$6.7 million ($6.9 million), or 34 Canadian cents per share, compared with C$5.7 million, or 35 Canadian cents per share, a year ago.
Fourth-quarter revenue rose 33 percent to C$196.3 million. New equipment sales rose 30 percent to C$121.3 million.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn 30 Canadian cents per share on revenue of C$181.9 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
