March 9 (Reuters) - Enghouse Systems Ltd , a provider of enterprise software solutions, posted a higher first-quarter profit on increased license sales and also raised its quarterly dividend.
The Markham, Ontario-based company increased its quarterly dividend by 25 percent to 5 Canadian cents per share, payable on May 31, to shareholders of record on May 17.
Net income for the first quarter was C$3.1 million, or 12 Canadian cents a share, compared with C$1.9 million, or 8 Canadian cents per share, last year.
Revenue rose 46 percent to C$28.6 million, helped by increased license sales in the quarter and contributions from acquisitions.
