Minmetals Resources seeks copper, lead, zinc assets as top priority

SINGAPORE, April 5 (Reuters) - Minmetals Resources has put copper, lead and zinc assets on top of its priority list, followed by nickel and aluminium bauxite, as the company seeks to diversify its assets, said a senior company official on Tuesday.

The company also hopes to add assets from Central Africa’s copper belt and the Andean region of South America to its portfolio in the next five years, Michael Nossal, executive general manager of business development, told reporters on the sidelines of a conference.
