UPDATE 1-IAMGOLD reports incident at Doyon Division

* Says incident occurred during a routine maintenance exercise

* Says there were no injuries and the damage is being assessed

* Says has launched probe in collaboration with authorities (Follows Alerts)

July 13 (Reuters) - Canadian miner IAMGOLD Corp reported an incident during a routine maintenance exercise at its Doyon Division in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.

The company said there were no injuries and the damage was being assessed.

Local emergency response team was immediately dispatched to the site and the appropriate authorities were notified, the company added.

IAMGOLD said it has launched an investigation, along with local authorities, to determine the cause of the incident.

Shares of the company were up 3.3 percent on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Mayuresh Tungare in Bangalore; Editing by Joyjeet Das)
