July 14 (Reuters) - Canadian miner Silvercorp Metals Inc reported a 90 percent jump in first-quarter revenue, helped mainly by higher production.
The Vancouver-based company’s revenue rose to $69.7 million.
Silvercorp said production at its four mines at the Ying Mining Camp in China rose 15 percent to 1.6 million ounces Of silver.
Gold production was up 30 percent to 1,390 ounces.
Shares of the company, which has a market value of $1.93 billion, closed at C$10.62 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Maneesha Tiwari in Bangalore; Editing by Maju Samuel)
