July 18 (Reuters) - Oil and gas explorer Daylight Energy Ltd said second-quarter output was slightly higher than its expectations, driven by production from a second well in the liquids-rich Montney zone.
Daylight Energy produced about 36,800 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in the second quarter, above the 36,500 boe/d it had forecast in May.
The second Wapiti Montney well, which went online in May, produced an average of more than 8 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.
Drilling and completion operations at the company’s assets in the Pembina Cardium region are back on line, after bad weather had forced a delay, the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Maneesha Tiwari in Bangalore; Editing by Viraj Nair)
