July 26 (Reuters) - CGI Group (GIBa.TO) , Canada’s largest technology outsourcing and consulting company, posted a 38 percent rise in third-quarter profit, helped by C$1.44 billion of new contract wins.
Quarterly profit was C$118.4 million, or 43 Canadian cents a share, versus C$85.9 million, or 30 Canadian cents a share, a year ago.
CGI, which provides computer services to companies ranging from Bombardier Inc (BBDb.TO) to Cirque du Soleil, posted a 15 percent rise in revenue at C$1.04 billion.
Analysts, on average, had forecast earnings of 38 Canadian cents a share, on revenue of C$1.11 billion, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
