Domtar profit falls 54 pct on weak pulp prices

April 23 (Reuters) - Canadian paper maker Domtar Corp’s profit fell 54 percent, hurt by weak pulp prices and high costs.

First-quarter net income fell to $28 million, or 76 cents per share, from $133 million, or $3.14 a share, a year ago.

Sales fell 2 percent to $1.39 billion.
