US STOCKS-FUTURES FLAT AHEAD OF DATA
U.S. stock index futures were little changed as investors looked ahead to data that could give a clue into the strength of the economy a day before the crucial payroll report. Futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.8 point, while Dow Jones future were down 12 points and Nasdaq 100 futures were up 2.25 points.
** JDA SOFTWARE GROUP INC, Wednesday close $38.15, up 18 pct premarket
The enterprise technology maker agreed to be bought by privately held supply chain software maker RedPrairie Corp for about $1.9 billion in cash.
** ZUMIEZ INC, Wednesday close $25.32, down 16 pct premarket
The action sports apparel and equipment retailer’s October same-store sales missed estimates and the company cut its third-quarter profit outlook on weakness in its European business.
Janney Capital, Wedbush Securities and Roth Captial cut theier price targets on the stock.
** TERADATA CORP, Wednesday’s close $68.31, down 9 pct premarket
The analytics and data storage company reported third-quarter revenue below analysts’ expectations and said it expected full-year revenue at the lower end of its earlier forecast.
** SOURCEFIRE INC, Wednesday close $42.79, up 6.5 pct premarket
The network security software maker raised its profit forecast as internet data leaks fuel demand from both government and corporate clients for its network security software.
** CORNERSTONE THERAPEUTICS INC, Wednesday close $4.39, down 10.2 pct premarket
The pharmaceutical company said the U.S. health regulator denied approval to its experimental drug for treating low sodium in blood and asked for additional information. The drug, lixivaptan, aims to treat low sodium in blood caused due to heart failure.
** PFIZER INC, Wednesday close $24.87, down 1.6 pct premarket
Pfizer reported quarterly revenue well below Wall Street expectations, on sharply weaker sales of specialty care drugs and a pullback of emerging market revenue.
** ESTÉE LAUDER COS INC, Wednesday close $61.62, down 4 pct
The personal care products maker lowered the top end of its full-year sales forecast, pointing to uncertainty in some key markets.
** AVON PRODUCTS INC, Wednesday close $15.49, down 3 pct premarket
The company slashed its dividend by nearly 74 percent on Thursday, while also announcing measures to cut costs by at least $400 million within three years and reporting a steep plunge in third-quarter earnings.
** SIRIUS XM RADIO, Wednesday close $2.80, up 0.4 pct premarket
The satellite radio company reported a lower net profit as it recorded a charge to repay some debt, but said revenue jumped 14 percent on strong subscriber growth.
** RADIAN INC, Wednesday close $4.69, up 8.5 pct premarket

The world’s largest publicly traded oil company reported a lower profit as a 7.5 percent drop in oil and natural gas production and weaker commodity prices took a toll.

The business software maker reported on Wednesday lower-than-expected revenue and announced a $1 billion share repurchase plan after a strategic review.

The U.S. trucking and logistics company reported on Wednesday a quarterly profit that fell short of Wall Street’s and its own expectations due to higher employee benefit costs.

The car rental company reported on Wednesday a better-than-expected quarterly profit.
