TORONTO, Aug 12 (Reuters) - CML Healthcare Income Fund CLC_u.TO reported a second-quarter profit that was slightly ahead of expectations, helped by a strong performance at its American Radiology Services division.
The Canadian company, which specializes in imaging and laboratory services, said it had earned C$25.9 million ($23.4 million), or 29 Canadian cents a basic unit, compared with C$26.3 million, or 29 Canadian cents a unit, a year earlier.
Revenue rose 12.9 percent to C$133.9 million.
Analysts on average were expecting profit of 28 Canadian cents a unit and revenue of C$130.9 million.
The company bought American Radiology for $150.4 million last year, giving it 15 diagnostic medical imaging centers in Delaware and Maryland. ($1=$1.10 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
