TORONTO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Shares of Potash Corp of Saskatchewan (POT.TO) rose more than 5 percent on Tuesday, after billionaire investor George Soros’s hedge fund reported that it had boosted its stake in the company.
Soros Fund Management LLC raised its stake in the world’s biggest potash producer to 2.95 million shares as of Sept. 30, from 1.98 million shares, which it held as of June 30.
Potash Corp shares rose 5.4 percent to $109.70 on the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday afternoon, and were up more than 6 percent at C$115.32 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. (Reporting by Euan Rocha; editing by Rob Wilson)
