Weatherford sees '09 int'l revenue growth 40 pct

HOUSTON, July 21 (Reuters) - The chief executive of oilfield services company Weatherford International Ltd (WFT.N) on Monday said he expects the company's international revenue to grow 40 percent in 2009 and sees additional strengthening in the U.S. drilling market.

"No doubt, at this time, we expect a robust 2009 in the United States," Weatherford Chief Executive Officer Bernard Duroc-Danner told analysts on a conference call to discuss the company's second-quarter earnings.

Duroc-Danner also told the analysts that the company has seen rising prices in all of its markets except for Canada, which has been slowed by seasonal factors. (Reporting by Anna Driver in Houston, editing by Gerald E. McCormick)
