CALGARY, Alberta, Feb 23 (Reuters) - TransCanada Corp (TRP.TO) said on Wednesday it is not yet able to take spot gas shipments on its mainline natural gas pipeline system, following a weekend line break in northern Ontario.
The company said only Line 1 of its three-line mainline system is operating, shipping 1.8 billion cubic feet of day of contracted volumes. In the week prior to the break, shipments on the system ranged from 2.1 bcf to 2.9 bcf per day, including spot shipments.
A TransCanada spokesman said in an email the company expects Line 3 to be back in operation in a few days after it is checked out, with repairs carried out on Line 2 when allowed by investigators. (Reporting by Scott Haggett; editing by Rob Wilson)
