TORONTO, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Richelieu Hardware Ltd (RCH.TO) said on Thursday its quarterly profit fell slightly as the slowdown in home renovations, particularly in the United States and Western Canada, hurt the specialty hardware distributor.
The Montreal-based company, which also makes kitchen cabinets and doors, earned C$9.9 million ($9.3 million), or 45 Canadian cents a share, in its fourth quarter ended Nov 30, down from C$10.2 million, or 46 Canadian cents a share, in the same period a year earlier.
Revenue fell 6.7 percent to C$110.7 million.
Analysts were expecting, on average, earnings of 45 Canadian cents a share and revenue of C$119.1 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S. ($1=$1.06 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; editing by Peter Galloway)
